Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous cooking experience, preferably in a line cook position
  • Ability to work part-time weekdays from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm
  • Ability to comply with all safety and hygiene regulations
  • Must be able to perform physical tasks related to cooking and kitchen maintenance
  • Must be able to work in Mountain View, CA
  • Ability to follow company policies and procedures
  • Availability for immediate hire

Job Qualifications

  • Previous line cooking experience preferred
  • Ability to follow standardized recipes and food safety procedures
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to teamwork and maintaining a safe work environment
  • Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely
  • Willingness to attend training and safety meetings
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and ordered storage of food items and supplies

Job Duties

  • Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production and service schedules
  • Serves meals or prepares for delivery using correct portioning and ensures food temperature and presentation meet standards
  • Uses established ticket collection procedures during service and maintains accurate records
  • Cleans kitchen and stores or discards excess food following safe handling procedures
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of refrigerators and storerooms
  • Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
  • Assists in production planning, record keeping, ordering, and receiving of food and supplies
  • Reports maintenance needs, equipment faults, or accidents to supervisors promptly
  • Attends in-service and safety meetings
  • Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, and managers
  • Performs all duties safely and maintains a clean, safe work environment
  • Abides by all company policies and uses proper safety equipment such as cut gloves, oven mitts, and slip-resistant shoes
