Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior professional cooking experience
  • knowledge of food safety regulations including HACCP
  • ability to work weekends and evening shifts
  • physical ability to stand for long periods
  • capability to lift and handle heavy kitchen equipment
  • adherence to company policies and values

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous cooking experience preferably in senior living or healthcare
  • culinary training or certification preferred
  • ServSafe or equivalent food safety certification
  • strong culinary skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques
  • ability to adapt to dietary restrictions
  • teamwork and communication skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare high-quality meals adhering to dietary guidelines
  • collaborate with Head Chef on menu development
  • maintain kitchen cleanliness and adhere to food safety standards
  • accommodate special dietary needs including diabetic and low-sodium diets
  • work collaboratively with kitchen and service staff
  • ensure equipment is maintained and in good working order
  • assist in inventory and ordering supplies
