Job Requirements

  • Own transportation that meets agency vehicle inspection requirements
  • Valid driver’s license with no more than 3 points
  • Proof of insurance meeting agency standards
  • Positive and reliable work ethic
  • Prior experience as a cook for at least 6 months
  • Ability to follow food safety regulations
  • Ability to communicate in a nurturing and educational manner with children

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 19 years of age
  • Flexible and able to work across multiple CSI locations
  • Attention to detail and consistency in following procedures
  • Minimum of 6 months experience as a cook, preferably in environments with children and youth
  • Ability to follow regulatory food preparation standards
  • Effective communication skills with children

Job Duties

  • Prepare and store food according to health and safety regulations
  • Ensure nutritional standards are met for meals served to children
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
  • Follow regulatory food preparation standards
  • Communicate with children in a nurturing and educational manner
  • Collaborate with staff to support CSI programs
  • Manage time effectively during meal preparation
