Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year of experience as a cook in a hospital or long-term care facility
- ServSafe certification or ability to obtain
- knowledge of dietary restrictions, food prep procedures, and sanitation standards
- ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
- strong teamwork and communication skills
- familiarity with PCC is a plus

Job Duties
- Preparing meals in accordance with menus, special diets, and portion controls
- maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and food service areas
- recording food temperatures and preparing pureed meals as needed
- ensuring food is presented in an appealing and appetizing manner
- assisting with serving and supervising in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor
- participating in staff training and orientation
