Ecumen Evergreens of Moorhead is a dedicated senior living community located in Moorhead, Minnesota. The facility consists of 30 memory care units specially designed to provide compassionate and supportive care for older adults living with memory loss or cognitive challenges. Job Requirements
- Must be 17 years of age or older
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written
- Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident's Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, Fair Housing laws and regulations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Commercial kitchen experience preferred
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment preferred
- Previous senior care experience preferred
- ServSafe certification or equivalent preferred
- Certified Food Protection Manager preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Ability to follow safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility
Job Duties
- Provide exemplary service to residents, families, and guests ensuring all feel welcome and receive responsive, friendly and courteous service
- Prep, prepare, cook, and serve meals to residents, families, guests, and employees
- Properly operate and maintain all kitchen equipment and report production shortages or overages to supervisor
- Follow recipes and production guidelines accurately including converting recipes for various group sizes
- Maintain adequate inventory of food and supplies and notify supervisor of shortages
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, safe, and efficiently organized work area complying with all federal and state regulations
- Assist with stocking and putting away groceries, ensuring products are labeled, dated, and rotated for freshness
- Partner with leaders to maintain awareness of facility events and ensure adequate product and labor
- Ensure residents with special diets receive appropriate food and accommodate requests promptly
- Demonstrate proper safety and sanitation techniques
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues in a dynamic environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
