Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous food service experience preferred
  • ability to work part-time shifts including early mornings and afternoons
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • ability to follow safety and hygiene protocols
  • willingness to learn and accept training
  • reliable transportation to the Fresno, CA location
  • legal authorization to work in the United States
  • ability to comply with drug-free workplace policy

Job Qualifications

  • Previous food service experience preferred
  • ability to follow standardized recipes and food safety guidelines
  • basic culinary skills including food preparation and portion control
  • excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • willingness to learn and be trained
  • ability to maintain cleanliness and safety standards
  • reliable and punctual work ethic

Job Duties

  • Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
  • serves meals or prepares for delivery using correct portioning and ensuring food quality including temperature and presentation
  • tastes all prepared food items to ensure quality
  • uses established ticket collection procedures during service
  • cleans kitchen after preparation and serving maintaining high cleanliness standards
  • stores or discards excess food in compliance with safe food-handling procedures
  • keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and ensures proper storage of food and supplies
  • operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
  • assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting
  • assists in ordering and receiving food and supplies
  • reports maintenance issues, faulty equipment, or accidents to supervisor
  • attends in-service and safety meetings
  • maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers
  • performs job safely maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  • ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures following HACCP standards
  • follows safety protocols including use of gloves and slip-resistant shoes
  • performs other duties as assigned
