Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED
- one year cooking or related experience in hospital, care center, restaurant, or catering production
- food safety training accredited by ANSI-CFP (ServSafe or TAP Series within 1 1/2 years required)
- ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, instructions, and manuals
- ability to perform basic math operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentage calculations
- ability to follow instructions and problem solve in standardized settings
- willingness to work part-time shifts including day or evening schedules, weekends, and rotating holidays
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED
- one year cooking or related experience in hospital, care center, restaurant, or catering production
- food safety training accredited by ANSI-CFP (ServSafe or TAP Series within 1 1/2 years required)
- post high school specialized training in volume or institutional cooking preferred
- technical or cooking school certificates preferred
- knowledge of sanitation and HACCP preferred
- ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
- basic math skills including ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
- ability to follow written, oral, or diagram instructions and solve problems involving standardized situations
Job Duties
- prepare meals for hospital patients, guests, employees, and catered events following standardized recipes and policies
- adhere to customer service standards in all interactions
- follow patient safety and sanitation protocols consistently
- demonstrate Family Centered Care principles when interacting with patients, families, guests, and colleagues
- maintain a clean and organized food preparation area
- comply with food safety regulations such as HACCP
- assist in receiving and storing food supplies properly
