Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior cooking experience in a fast-paced environment beneficial
  • strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to operate commercial cooking equipment
  • excellent attention to detail and time management skills
  • willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and event days
  • physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with co-workers, volunteers, management, and guests
  • ability to speak, read, and write in English
  • ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
  • possess a valid food handling certificate if required by state and federal regulations

Job Duties

  • Cook and package food products prepared to order or kept warm until sold
  • receive verbal orders from front counter staff for food product requirements
  • maintain quality and production standards on all menu items
  • control portion sizes and serving temperatures
  • clean, stock, and restock workstations and displays
  • operate large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep-fat fryers, and ovens
  • ensure cleanliness of work areas and proper storage of food products
  • maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards
  • demonstrate excellent attendance
