Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior experience in a kitchen environment preferred
- valid food handling certificate if required by state and federal regulations
- ability to stand for extended periods
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety

- possess valid food handling certificate if required by state and federal regulations
Job Duties
- adhere to Board of Health and ServSafe regulations
- prepare food products as directed by recipe and/or supervisor while maintaining strict adherence to standards and specifications
- have excellent knowledge of all kitchen areas and share knowledge with others
- ensure all production priorities are completed daily using the prep list and by delegating workload effectively
- maintain cleanliness of the work area including refrigerators, counters, tables, and storage areas
- provide and secure own equipment/tools if necessary
- inform supervisor of any shortages or equipment malfunctions
- have knowledge of food quality, utilization, storage, rotation, and consistency
- implement, monitor and instruct proper kitchen sanitation
- assist Chef with ordering for locations/events when needed
- record cooler/freezer temperatures and notify chef/s of malfunction
- supervise prep staff and delegate work assignments
- ensure prep staff follows FIFO guidelines
- perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor
