Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in food preparation or cooking preferred
  • ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks
  • capacity to follow detailed instructions and safety guidelines
  • flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and event days
  • valid food handler certification if applicable
  • excellent attendance record

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate clearly with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff and guests
  • ability to speak, read, and write in English
  • ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
  • possess valid food handling certificate if required by state and federal regulations

Job Duties

  • Responsible for cooking and packaging food product prepared to order or kept warm until sold
  • receives verbal orders from front counter staff for guest orders
  • maintains quality and production standards on all menu items
  • ensures portion control and appropriate serving temperatures
  • cleans, stocks, and restocks workstations and displays
  • operates large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep-fat fryers and ovens
  • maintains sanitation, health and safety standards in work areas
