Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in food preparation or concessions cooking preferred
  • Must be able to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and event days
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work
  • Ability to follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Possess or be able to obtain a valid food handling certificate if required by law

Job Qualifications

  • Able to operate standard kitchen equipment including deep fryer, flattop grill, chargrill, broiler, steamer, convection oven, mixer, meat slicer and chef knife
  • Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff and guests
  • Ability to speak, read and write in English
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
  • Possess a valid food handling certificate if required by state and federal regulations
  • Possess thorough working knowledge of sanitation requirements, food preparation guidelines, alcohol service policies and safety standards related to OVG and venue concession operations
  • Ability to consistently adhere to high standards of integrity, professionalism, ethics and confidentiality

Job Duties

  • Provide high quality fresh food products in a timely manner for delivery to guests
  • Prepare hot and cold foods following company recipes and portioning requirements
  • Participate as a team player with specific responsibilities related to preparation, excellent service and delivery of products
  • Report any maintenance required for kitchen equipment
  • Maintain sanitation, health and safety standards in work areas
  • Observe and test foods to ensure proper cooking
  • Portion, arrange and garnish food plates for delivery to guests
  • Consult with Stand Lead and Concessions Manager to plan menus and estimate expected food consumption
  • Demonstrate excellent attendance and availability as required by the business
