Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in food preparation or concessions cooking preferred
- Must be able to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and event days
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work
- Ability to follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Possess or be able to obtain a valid food handling certificate if required by law
Job Qualifications
- Able to operate standard kitchen equipment including deep fryer, flattop grill, chargrill, broiler, steamer, convection oven, mixer, meat slicer and chef knife
- Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff and guests
- Ability to speak, read and write in English
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
- Possess a valid food handling certificate if required by state and federal regulations
- Possess thorough working knowledge of sanitation requirements, food preparation guidelines, alcohol service policies and safety standards related to OVG and venue concession operations
- Ability to consistently adhere to high standards of integrity, professionalism, ethics and confidentiality
Job Duties
- Provide high quality fresh food products in a timely manner for delivery to guests
- Prepare hot and cold foods following company recipes and portioning requirements
- Participate as a team player with specific responsibilities related to preparation, excellent service and delivery of products
- Report any maintenance required for kitchen equipment
- Maintain sanitation, health and safety standards in work areas
- Observe and test foods to ensure proper cooking
- Portion, arrange and garnish food plates for delivery to guests
- Consult with Stand Lead and Concessions Manager to plan menus and estimate expected food consumption
- Demonstrate excellent attendance and availability as required by the business
