Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior experience in cooking or food preparation preferred
- ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
- food handling certificate if required by state law
- ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment
- strong communication skills
- availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests
- ability to speak, read, and write in English
- ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
- possession of valid food handling certificate if required by state and federal regulations
Job Duties
- Cooking and packaging food products prepared to order or kept warm until sold
- receiving verbal orders from front counter staff for guest orders
- maintaining quality and production standards of all menu items
- ensuring portion control and serving temperatures are correct
- cleaning, stocking, and restocking workstations and displays
- operating large-volume cooking equipment including grills, deep-fat fryers, and ovens
- maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards of work areas and equipment
- storing food products properly and ensuring utensils are clean and put away
- sweeping and mopping floors at shift end
- showing excellent attendance and punctuality as required by company standards
