Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior experience in cooking or food preparation preferred
  • ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
  • food handling certificate if required by state law
  • ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment
  • strong communication skills
  • availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests
  • ability to speak, read, and write in English
  • ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
  • possession of valid food handling certificate if required by state and federal regulations

Job Duties

  • Cooking and packaging food products prepared to order or kept warm until sold
  • receiving verbal orders from front counter staff for guest orders
  • maintaining quality and production standards of all menu items
  • ensuring portion control and serving temperatures are correct
  • cleaning, stocking, and restocking workstations and displays
  • operating large-volume cooking equipment including grills, deep-fat fryers, and ovens
  • maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards of work areas and equipment
  • storing food products properly and ensuring utensils are clean and put away
  • sweeping and mopping floors at shift end
  • showing excellent attendance and punctuality as required by company standards
