Job Requirements

  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 1-year previous food service experience desired
  • Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Valid San Bernardino County Food Handlers Card required within 30 days of hire
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend and lift 25 pounds throughout the day
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Positive attitude and professional appearance
  • Must be energetic and self-disciplined

Job Duties

  • Set up stations and collect all necessary supplies to prepare menu for service
  • Prepare a variety of foods including meat, seafood, poultry, vegetable, and cold food items
  • Properly label and date food items for storage
  • Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products to assure a smooth service period
  • Know and comply with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen policies
  • Use food preparation tools according to manufacturer instructions
  • Close the kitchen correctly and follow the closing checklist for kitchen stations
  • Maintain a prepared and sanitary work area at all times
  • Assist with cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen and storage areas
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
  • Follow safe and hygienic food handling practices
  • Keep workstation and equipment clean, organized, sanitized, and stocked
  • Use waste control guidelines and record all waste
  • Understand and maintain proper sanitation and food safety
  • Abide by all company policies and procedures
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Executive Chef or Chef
