Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- three to five years of professional cooking experience
- experience in a senior living community or similar environment preferred
- familiarity with food safety and sanitation regulations
- ability to follow detailed recipes and adapt to dietary needs
- strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- capacity to handle physical demands of kitchen work
Job Qualifications
- Three to five years' experience as a cook or chef in a restaurant, hotel, or senior living community preferred
- experience as a short order cook required
- must have full scale recipe production experience
- a genuine passion for food and a desire to create memorable dining experiences
- strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook delicious and nutritious meals according to menu specifications and dietary requirements
- ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met at all times
- collaborate with our culinary team to develop innovative menu ideas and seasonal offerings
- provide exceptional customer service to our residents, catering to their individual preferences and dietary needs
- maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, adhering to all health and safety regulations
