Job Requirements

  • Direct deposit and Social Security Card is required
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position
  • A one-year probationary period may be required
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check
  • Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training within 30 days of employment and annual refresher training
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks including a Tier 1 background investigation
  • Satisfactory completion of physical examination

Job Qualifications

  • A minimum of 6 months of work experience directly related to the duties described above
  • Skill in working with professional kitchen appliances and equipment
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English
  • Work experience and knowledge of Food Inventory Controls and food safety regulations (highly preferred)
  • Current ServSafe Certification (highly preferred)

Job Duties

  • Prepares and cooks a variety of menu items
  • Follows health and safety precautions to ensure safe preparation and storage of food items
  • Monitors and maintains appropriate temperature of all food items throughout preparation and service
  • Brings prepared foods from preparation area to refrigerators or serving area
  • Picks up items needed for menu preparation, rotating food inventories as appropriate
  • Takes inventory to determine ordering requirements
  • Operates kitchen equipment designed to mix and cook food items
  • Uses, cleans and maintains power kitchen equipment
  • Keeps cooking utensils cleaned and ready for use
  • Keeps working area clean in accordance with standard sanitation requirements
  • Performs other duties as assigned
