Job Description

Fort Bliss MWR Bowling Alley is a recreational facility situated within the Fort Bliss military installation, designed to provide entertainment and leisure activities for military personnel, their families, and civilian employees. Job Requirements

  • Direct deposit and social security card is required
  • Meet qualification, eligibility, and background requirements for this position
  • A one-year probationary period may be required
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check
  • Meet the agency's local age requirement (18 years old)
  • Completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training within 30 days of employment and annual refresher training
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks including a medical examination
  • May be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card
  • Able and willing to work a schedule that may include nights, weekends and holidays

  • Work experience in preparing foods and cooking simple foods and short orders in a cafeteria, restaurant, or mess
  • Neatness and good grooming

  • Resumes must be two pages or less and clearly demonstrate relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities
  • No education qualification requirement

Job Duties

  • Performs a full range of simple cooking by preparing and cooking items
  • Prepares food by peeling, chopping, paring, cutting, dicing, flouring, and breading
  • Mixes ingredients according to precisely written recipes
  • Operates equipment using gas, electricity, griddles, steam, or microwave heat source
  • Cleans, stores, and maintains all equipment and work areas after each use
  • Follows established sanitation procedures when handling food
  • Ensures that foods are stored at the correct temperatures to prevent bacteria growth
  • Able to work alone
  • Performs other duties as assigned
