  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • ged
  • less than 1 year experience in cooking
  • less than 1 year experience in food service
  • state of florida licensure not required

  • ability to operate automated food preparation equipment
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
  • effective communication skills for customer interaction
  • ability to plan and organize food preparation activities
  • capacity to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards

Job Duties

  • preparing food for staff, visitors, special meals, physicians, and catered functions
  • following approved recipes and production guidelines
  • planning preparation schedule to ensure timely food readiness
  • interacting comfortably with cafeteria patrons daily
  • operating automated food preparation equipment
  • cleaning and sanitizing work area and equipment according to procedures
