Job Requirements

  • Food Handler's Permit in required counties
  • Ability to speak, read, write and understand English
  • Ability to move, lift and transfer a minimum of 50 pounds
  • Fingerprinting clearance card or eligible to obtain
  • Background screening, licensure verification if applicable, reference check, drug testing
  • Tuberculosis testing
  • Employee health screening conducted after hire

Job Qualifications

  • Food Handler's Permit in required counties
  • Ability to speak, read, write and understand English
  • Experience in food preparation preferred but not mandatory
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and compliance
  • Ability to work under supervision and follow directions
  • Good communication and teamwork skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare food according to established facility menu and dietary guidelines
  • Ensure all food is prepared in a sanitary and safe manner following food safety standards
  • Comply with federal and state guidelines related to food preparation
  • Prepare appetizing meals within the dietary budget
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area
  • Follow all safety and hygiene protocols including proper handling and storage of food
  • Collaborate with the Dietary Manager and other team members to meet dietary service goals
