Job Requirements
- Food Handler's Permit in required counties
- Ability to speak, read, write and understand English
- Ability to move, lift and transfer a minimum of 50 pounds
- Fingerprinting clearance card or eligible to obtain
- Background screening, licensure verification if applicable, reference check, drug testing
- Tuberculosis testing
- Employee health screening conducted after hire
Job Qualifications
- Food Handler's Permit in required counties
- Ability to speak, read, write and understand English
- Experience in food preparation preferred but not mandatory
- Knowledge of food safety standards and compliance
- Ability to work under supervision and follow directions
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Job Duties
- Prepare food according to established facility menu and dietary guidelines
- Ensure all food is prepared in a sanitary and safe manner following food safety standards
- Comply with federal and state guidelines related to food preparation
- Prepare appetizing meals within the dietary budget
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area
- Follow all safety and hygiene protocols including proper handling and storage of food
- Collaborate with the Dietary Manager and other team members to meet dietary service goals
