Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum one-year cooking or baking experience
  • Ability to follow recipes accurately
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • Ability to work with equipment generating heat, steam, and cold
  • Knowledge of HACCP and food codes
  • Ability to perform cleaning and sanitation duties

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of one-year cooking or baking experience
  • Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions in English
  • Knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety codes
  • Demonstrated knife skills
  • Experience in scratch cooking or a la carte restaurant setting preferred
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

Job Duties

  • Cooks and seasons food according to established recipes
  • Prepares and stores food in compliance with HACCP principles and food codes
  • Safely operates and cleans kitchen equipment and work areas
  • Manages position paperwork including recipes and forecasting documents
  • Follows correct hand hygiene and food handling practices
  • Responds effectively and collaboratively to patients and internal customers
  • Monitors food temperature control and storage dates to ensure food safety
