Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- At least six months of applicable experience preferred
- Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions
- Ability to perform basic math
- Willingness to obtain Serv Safe certification within designated timeframe if required
- Completion of annual continuing education and mandatory in-services
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Basic Life Support certification if required
- Valid Driver’s License if required
- Ability to work scheduled shifts including evenings
Job Qualifications

- Minimum of six months applicable experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Effective communication skills
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation
- Ability to stand for long periods and walk distances
- Willingness to obtain Serv Safe certification and other endorsements if required
- Fulfillment of departmental and facility continuing education including safety and mandatory trainings
- Basic Life Support may be required depending on location
- Valid driver’s license may be required depending on location
Job Duties
- Prepare and assemble baked goods and cooked foods
- Cook, season, and portion food for patients, staff, and visitors
- Adhere to food quality standards regarding appearance, taste, temperature, and sanitation
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in cooking and serving areas
- Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, slicers, kettles, ovens, grills, deep fat fryers, and dishwashers
- Follow standardized recipes and HACCP guidelines
- Document HACCP procedures, temperatures, and outcomes to ensure food safety
