Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum six months of applicable experience preferred
  • Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions
  • Ability to perform basic math
  • Willingness to undergo on-the-job training
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and walk distances
  • Ability to work independently
  • Depending on location, ServSafe certification may be required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may be required
  • Valid driver’s license may be required depending on location

Job Duties

  • Prepare and assemble baked goods and meals following menu and dietary requirements
  • Cook, season, and portion food for patients, residents, staff, and visitors
  • Maintain food quality standards in appearance, taste, temperature, and sanitation
  • Perform washing and cleaning duties to ensure cleanliness in cooking and serving areas
  • Follow standardized recipes and HACCP guidelines for food preparation, storage, and documentation
  • Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, slicers, ovens, grills, and deep fryers
  • Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with internal customers and team members
