Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to stand and walk throughout the day
- Must be able to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to bend, squat, push, and pull frequently
Job Qualifications
- 6 months to 1 year experience in a culinary position
- Prior hospitality experience preferred
- Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to stand and walk throughout the day
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to bend, squat, push, and pull frequently
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
Job Duties
- Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures, and standards
- Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment
- Anticipate guest needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests
- Assist with resolving guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas
- Maintain and strictly abide by state sanitation, health regulations and hotel requirements
- Meet with Chef on Duty to review assignments, anticipated business levels, changes and other pertinent information
- Complete opening duties including setting up workstation with mise en place, tools, equipment and supplies, inspecting cleanliness and working condition of tools and equipment, checking production schedule and pars, prioritizing items for the day, requisitioning supplies, putting away food order deliveries, and starting prep work
- Continue prep work after meal periods
- Check point of sale printer and prepare all menu items following recipes and yield guide
- Communicate menu special status and assistance needs to Chef on Duty
- Maintain proper storage procedures and minimize waste to meet food cost forecasts
- Disinfect and sanitize cutting boards and worktables
- Transport dirty pots and pans and assist Stewards in cleanup
- Complete closing duties including returning food items, rotating products, wrapping and labeling stored items, cleaning and organizing storage and prep areas, restocking depleted items, and reviewing work status with Head Cook
- Assist with inventories and banquet plating
- Follow maintenance program and cleaning schedule
- Perform duties in other kitchen areas as assigned
