Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 months line cook or deli cook experience
  • Deli cook must have meat slicing experience ideally in a full-service restaurant
  • Able to handle and operate safely microwave, knives, steam table, gas range, convection ovens, meat and bread slicers, check printer, kitchen display system and scales

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 months experience as a line cook or deli cook
  • Experience with meat slicing for deli cooks
  • Ability to safely operate kitchen equipment including knives and gas ranges
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including nights and weekends

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook menu items following traditional New York deli recipes
  • Slice meats with precision and safety using meat slicers
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely including knives, gas ranges, convection ovens, and steam tables
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen work area
  • Assist in managing food inventory and kitchen supplies
  • Support team members to ensure timely and efficient food service
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
