Job Duties

  • Follow schedule posted and shows up to work on time
  • Prepare all required items
  • Set up service units with needed items
  • Serve items in accordance with established portions and presentation standards
  • Notify sous chef of expected shortages
  • Ensure that assigned work areas and equipment are clean and sanitary
  • Assist the sous chef in maintaining security and safety in the kitchen
  • Maintain neat professional appearance and always observe personal cleanliness rules
  • Set up, maintain, and break down makeup station
  • Requisition items needed to produce menu items
  • Adhere to state and local health and safety regulations
  • Cover, date, and neatly store all leftover products that are re-usable
  • Maintain the highest sanitary standards
  • Perform all work-related duties as assigned by supervisor or general manager
  • Assure all vegetables and starch are prepared and are fresh prior to service
