Job Requirements
- Must have valid Food Handler’s certification to prepare or serve food per Texas law
- Must possess an outgoing personality
- Must possess honesty and integrity
- Must always be courteous and tactful
- Must treat others with kindness and respect
- Must effectively communicate to employees and managers
- Appear for work on time
- Understand and follow posted rules and procedures
- Follow directions from a supervisor
- Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and/or sit up to eight hours per day
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools and/or controls
- Hearing and talking sufficient to communicate with co-workers and managers
- Specific vision abilities including close vision, vision sufficient to read, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Frequent lifting 20-30 lbs. objects and ability to push, pull or lift up to 50 lbs.
- Independent mobility through clubhouse
Job Qualifications
- Valid Food Handler's certification as required by Texas law
- Previous cooking or kitchen experience preferred
- Ability to follow recipes and presentation standards
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Reliable and punctual
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
Job Duties
- Follow schedule posted and show up to work on time
- Prepare all required items
- Set up service units with needed items
- Serve items in accordance with established portions and presentation standards
- Notify Sous Chef of expected shortages
- Ensure that assigned work areas and equipment are clean and sanitary
- Assist the Sous Chef in maintaining security and safety in the kitchen
- Maintain neat professional appearance and observe personal cleanliness rules
- Set up, maintain, and break down makeup station
- Requisition items needed to produce menu items
- Adhere to state and local health and safety regulations
- Cover, date, and neatly store all leftover products that are reusable
- Maintain the highest sanitary standards
- Perform all work-related duties as assigned by supervisor or General Manager
- Assure all vegetables and starch are prepared and fresh prior to service
