  • 1-3 years previous experience working in a professional kitchen environment
  • active food handler's certification or ability to get it
  • willing to work a variety of day/night and weekend shifts
  • strong organizational skills
  • able to work independently
  • able to be on feet for long periods of time
  • able to lift at least 50 pounds
  • at least 21 years of age
  • energetic personality

Job Duties

  • develop knowledge and skills in various cooking procedures and methods such as grill, saute and fry
  • experience using knives and various kitchen equipment
  • reach and recreate recipes
  • ensure consistency in all food preparation
  • prepare ingredients for cooking such as chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat
  • maintain a sanitized and orderly kitchen environment
  • ensure proper storage of all food and other items
  • take responsibility for the quality of ingredients
