Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 4 years culinary experience in hotel or restaurant kitchen
  • AZ Food Handlers certification
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • Ability to lift, push, pull and carry moderate weight
  • Basic math skills

Job Qualifications

  • At least 4 years culinary experience in a hotel or restaurant kitchen
  • Able to work efficiently without immediate supervision
  • Familiar with weights and measures to follow and multiply standard recipes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high pressure environment
  • Culinary degree or formal training preferred
  • AZ Food Handlers certification required

Job Duties

  • Independently prepare all food items as directed by supervisor and to company specifications
  • Identify and inspect all food products for quality
  • Follow all storage procedures when taking food out of walk-in and when returning food to walk-in
  • Safely and properly use all culinary equipment
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of cooking skills and techniques
  • Maintain walk-in, prep area and equipment up to health department and EcoSure standards
  • Attend department meetings and other company required trainings
  • Complete other duties as assigned by management
