Job Requirements

  • satisfactory completion of pre-employment checks including Child Care Tier 1 background investigation
  • physically able to lift or move up to 40 pounds
  • completion of Food Handlers certification training
  • able to obtain and maintain current immunizations including annual influenza vaccination
  • residency in the U.S. for at least three years and live within commuting area
  • at least 18 years of age at time of hire
  • able to communicate effectively in English
  • male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must be registered for Selective Service
  • direct deposit required
  • satisfactorily complete employment verification
  • meet qualification, eligibility, and background requirements

Job Qualifications

  • experience in food preparation principles
  • ability to lead three or more workers
  • experience in grill, snack bar, restaurant, club, or similar food activity
  • knowledge of food preparation principles and planning processes
  • ability to perform yield testing
  • effective communication skills in English

Job Duties

  • Lead other employees in cooking a wide variety of menu items
  • provide day-to-day advice and guidance to employees for work assignments
  • ensure worksite materials and tools are available
  • ensure employees follow security, safety, and housekeeping rules
  • roast, broil, bake, fry, boil, steam, and stew meats, fish, and poultry
  • prepare soups, stocks, gravies, sauces, and puddings without packaged mixes
  • adjust standardized recipes and perform yield testing
  • coordinate cooking of several items to produce complete meals on time and at proper temperature
  • perform other related duties as assigned
