Job Requirements

  • Minimum two years of experience in food services
  • Food handler permit: KY, within 30 days or Servsafe certification, within 30 days
  • One year of hospital experience preferred
  • Associates degree or two years of equivalent combination of education and experience in lieu of the Associate’s degree preferred

Job Duties

  • Champion food quality standards of appearance, taste, temperature and sanitation
  • Prepare and serve food within guidelines of menu and dietary requirements, using required kitchen utensils and equipment such as slicers, mixers, ovens, fryers, steamers, stove tops, and grills
  • Modify preparations to account for food allergies
  • Maintain proper labeling of food products and ensure storage of food, equipment, and machinery per regulations and facility guidelines
  • Perform washing and cleaning duties to ensure sanitation and cleanliness in cooking and serving areas
