- Prior cooking experience in a healthcare facility
- Knowledge of food production, service and sanitation
- Ability to work every other weekend depending on the department's needs
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Culinary degree or certification preferred
- ServSafe certification preferred
- Prior experience in food service preferred

Job Duties
- Complete tasks as outlined in the job flow for the daily position assigned
- Retrieve, prep and prepare items according to the daily production sheets and recipes
- Follow all HACCP guidelines for food and physical safety
- Prepare food for patients and others using a variety of production tools, techniques and equipment
- Ensure meal service demands are met and maintain a sanitary work environment
- Take customer orders and prepare food to their specifications
- Grill, cook, and fry foods
- Plan and manage work orders to ensure all items of an order are finished and served at the same time
- Grill and garnish hamburgers and other meats
- Perform simple food preparation tasks, such as slicing up meats and vegetables
- Complete orders from steam tables, plate the food, and serve to the customers
- Order supplies and stock the shelves
- Rotate food and stamp the time and date on the food in the coolers
- Clean food preparation equipment and areas
