Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 0-2 years of cooking experience
  • ability to plan and execute meal plans
  • ability to cook according to set time schedules
  • ability to follow and modify recipes
  • ability to work alone or with others
  • flexibility and attentiveness to detail
  • physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds
  • valid driver’s license and auto insurance approval for shopping trips

Job Qualifications

  • previous cooking experience
  • ability to plan and adjust menus
  • ability to follow and modify recipes
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • good organizational skills
  • attention to detail
  • physical stamina to stand walk bend and lift
  • valid driver’s license for approved shopping trips

Job Duties

  • Plan menus subject to approval
  • prepare food including cooking chopping mixing baking portioning and presentation
  • maintain a clean and organized kitchen and work environment
  • follow food safety and sanitation guidelines including proper attire and hygiene
  • set up food service line in kitchen and serving areas
  • stock and replenish supplies and ingredients
  • handle and store food properly to prevent contamination and spoilage
  • shop and order for food and kitchen needs
  • clean work area including appliances after each meal
