Job Requirements

  • high school education
  • 0-2 years of cooking experience
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends
  • ability to stand for up to eight hours a day
  • ability to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds
  • valid driver’s license subject to employer approval
  • willingness to live on-site
  • practicing Catholic
  • ability to maintain kitchen cleanliness and safety standards

Job Duties

  • Plan menus subject to approval
  • prepare food including cooking, chopping, mixing, baking, portioning and presenting
  • maintain a clean and organized kitchen by cleaning drawers, shelves and storage areas
  • follow food safety and sanitation guidelines including proper attire and personal hygiene
  • set up food service line in kitchen and serving areas
  • stock and replenish supplies and ingredients
  • handle and store food properly to prevent contamination
  • shop and order food and kitchen supplies
  • clean work area and appliances after each meal
