Job Requirements

  • minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • at least 1 year of experience as a line cook in a high-volume restaurant
  • valid California Food Handler certification
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • physical capability to stand for up to 8 hours and lift up to 50 pounds
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to follow recipes and adhere to food safety standards
  • dependable and punctual
  • positive attitude and team player

Job Qualifications

  • at least 1 year experience of high-volume line cook experience required
  • california food handlers certified
  • problem solver with ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
  • accountability and sets high expectations and achieves them regardless of barriers
  • demonstrates a sense of urgency and works well under pressure
  • ability to carry large trays and organize multiple orders
  • flexible availability including weekends holidays and early late hours as needed
  • ability to report to work on time and when scheduled
  • ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time
  • guest-focused and able to make accommodations according to chef's instructions
  • upbeat energetic positive and professional attitude at all times
  • able to participate in a team environment and assist other departments providing lateral service

Job Duties

  • adhere to all health and safety regulations
  • set up and break down assigned station in time for service
  • plate dishes according to chef's specifications
  • assist in control of inventory and supplies
  • promote a safe and respectful work environment
  • complete tasks assigned by chef in a timely efficient manner
  • communicate all kitchen related needs to chef or manager
  • assist other stations when needed
  • bring all tools and equipment and maintain in proper working order
  • stay focused and hold self-accountable
