Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of related work experience
- Open availability for day and evening shifts
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift objects up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to comply with safety and sanitation policies
- Ability to work full time
- No supervisory experience required
- No certification or license required
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent general education development (GED)
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience in food preparation or culinary services
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, fryers, and microwaves
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Ability to work flexible shifts including day and evening
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Commitment to upholding The Ritz-Carlton's Gold Standards for service
- Physical ability to meet the demands of the job including lifting and standing for extended periods
Job Duties
- Prepare banquet dishes and trays appropriately
- Organize and operate banquet and buffet stations
- Slice buffet meats as requested by guests
- Support banquet and buffet operations ensuring appropriate product availability
- Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers to prepare dishes
- Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, and storing food
- Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables
- Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality, and presentation standards
- Prepare cold dishes
- Taste dishes to ensure proper cooking
- Monitor food quality during preparation
- Set up and divide workstations
- Serve food in appropriate portions and containers
- Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, tables, utensils, knives, and equipment
- Comply with all safety and company policies
- Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management
- Participate in safety training and obtain safety certifications
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance and uniform
- Protect company assets
- Anticipate and respond to guest service needs
- Communicate clearly and professionally with team members
- Support the team to achieve common goals
- Ensure compliance with quality standards
- Stand, sit, or walk for prolonged periods
- Stretch, bend, twist, crouch, and stoop
- Move, lift, transport, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors
