Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of 1 year experience in kitchen food preparation preferred
  • ability to follow standard recipes and food safety regulations
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 75 pounds
  • willingness to comply with sanitation, health, and hygiene standards

Job Qualifications

  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to read, speak and understand English
  • good teamwork approach to daily tasks
  • minimum of 1 year of experience in kitchen preparation preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare or direct preparation of food served using established production procedures and systems
  • determine amount and type of food and supplies required using production systems
  • create and assemble food products or short order cooks
  • comply with established sanitation standards for personal hygiene and health
  • store food properly according to health standards including proper rotation
  • report necessary equipment repair and maintenance to supervisor
  • correctly prepare all food served following standard recipes and brand specifications
  • follow proper portioning controls as indicated by brand standards
  • maintain daily production records
  • keep work area neat and clean at all times
  • clean and maintain equipment used in food preparation
  • record temperature of food items, equipment, and storage products on appropriate logs
  • complete food temperature log before service
  • perform other related duties as assigned by kitchen manager or manager on duty
  • prepare and serve food for special functions as assigned
