Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of two years of experience in a commercial pastry kitchen
  • ability to work overnight shifts
  • knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation procedures
  • physical ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items
  • willingness to work flexible hours
  • commitment to quality and productivity

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary school diploma or equivalent experience
  • proven experience as a pastry cook or baker
  • strong knowledge of baking techniques and pastry preparation
  • ability to develop new pastry recipes
  • excellent organizational and time management skills
  • attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety
  • effective communication and teamwork skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare pastry food items according to designated recipes and quality standards
  • maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards
  • stock, maintain and ensure proper storage and refrigeration of an adequate supply of all prepared product
  • develop new products for a-la-carte and catering menus, as needed
  • practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations
  • display and set baked products on mobile carts according to specifications
  • prepare daily requisitions for supplies and food items
