Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 4 years experience in high volume culinary environment
- Ability to work any shift or outlet
- Proficient in kitchen sanitation and safety standards
- Capable of lifting up to 75 pounds and pushing or pulling up to 125 pounds
- Ability to maneuver in various kitchen areas
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment such as stoves, grills, and fryers
- Strong coordination and dexterity to use kitchen utensils
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Ability to tolerate temperature extremes and cleaning chemicals
- Good attendance record and adherence to company policies
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance
- Ability to respond quickly under pressure
- Must be able to train and instruct new team members
- Ability to handle cash register functions in outlets requiring cashier duties
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a high volume, quality food establishment or equivalent technical food industry training
- Culinary school experience preferred
- Completion of at least 10 skill soft business curriculum courses within 120 days of start date
- Certified trainer within 90 days of start date
- Knowledge of kitchen sanitation and operation
- Familiarity with maintenance of kitchen equipment
- Ability to cook using industry and property standard techniques and procedures
- Solid skills in pantry and cook operations
- Ability to work collaboratively as a team member
- Well-groomed appearance
- Ability to respond with urgency to changing business demands
Job Duties
- Prepare recipes and food items quickly and sanitary following established standards
- Assist in training new associates as certified trainer
- Rotate between all cooking stations managing specific food items and equipment
- Ensure uniformity and consistency of each order
- Control food production including cooking methods, times, and temperatures
- Maintain sanitation and proper handling, storage, and labeling of food
- Complete kitchen time and temperature logs and adhere to culinary safety practices
- Be proficient in hot prep, cold prep, salads, desserts, dressings, garnishing, sauces, soups, knife handling, and equipment use
- Monitor inventory par levels to maintain product availability
- Maintain detailed cleanliness of all work stations and equipment
- Operate cash register and manage customer transactions in applicable outlets
- Greet customers and coworkers with a positive, friendly attitude
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and dining room floor
- Work any shift and outlet as required
- Adhere to attendance and company policies
- Prepare for rush periods without falling behind
- Make recommendations for food substitutions and menu adjustments
- Assist in all kitchen areas and perform other assigned duties
