Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Seven or more years of culinary industry experience
- Ability to read and understand standardized recipes
- Strong organizational and prioritization abilities
- Knowledge of proper food handling and equipment use
- Effective delegation and communication skills
- Ability to assess situations and implement strategies
- Ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail
- Ability to sustain fast-paced work environment
- Ability to adapt procedures and tools
- Ability to use the club’s expeditor system
- Ability to carry trays and deliver food with accuracy
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
- Proficient in English reading, writing, and counting
- Knowledge of fire and safety standards
- Ability to work in hot kitchen environment with frequent physical activity
- Must pass background check
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two year culinary degree or commensurate experience
- Minimum 7 years experience in culinary industry
- Ability to read and prepare standardized recipes
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Effective communication abilities
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Experience with food requisition and inventory management
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in both English and Spanish is a plus
- Ability to lift 30 lbs
- Familiarity with kitchen safety and fire response
Job Duties
- Utilize established controls to ensure all food quality standards are executed consistently
- Complete prep lists by end of shift without unauthorized overtime
- Ensure all opening and closing kitchen procedures are completed
- Monitor incoming food product quality
- Monitor production and quality levels of all food products
- Monitor refrigeration and dry storage for proper handling and rotation
- Participate in ongoing sanitation and safety education programs
- Assist Chef de Cuisine/Sous Chef and act in their absence
- Read and prepare standardized recipes according to specifications
- Organize and prioritize daily par sheets
- Delegate work cooperatively and fairly
- Communicate effectively with associates and management
- Adapt procedures and techniques as necessary
- Utilize expeditor system
- Carry trays and deliver food accurately
- Lift supplies or equipment up to 30 lbs
- Maintain kitchen and fire safety standards
- Supervise cleaning and handling of food leftovers
- Assist with prep, cleaning, and other duties as assigned
