Job Requirements

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to collaborate in a team environment
  • One year minimum of cooking experience in a standalone restaurant or hotel
  • Luxury hotel experience a plus
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Passion for baking and creativity in pastry creation
  • Strong attention to detail and high standards of food quality
  • Physical ability to perform kitchen tasks including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned
  • Positive attitude and integrity

Job Qualifications

  • Passion for baking and pastry creation
  • Minimum one year of cooking experience in a standalone restaurant or hotel
  • Luxury hotel experience is a plus
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong knowledge of sanitation standards and culinary techniques
  • Excellent guest service skills
  • Ability to mentor and support kitchen staff
  • Commitment to professionalism and collaboration

Job Duties

  • Prepare the highest quality of food products for the restaurant and banquets according to menu descriptions and hotel’s standards
  • Mentor Cook III and kitchen staff providing guidance and support as needed
  • Maintain in depth knowledge of food products as well as sanitation standards and culinary techniques to execute dishes at the highest level
  • Regularly restock kitchen supplies and food items along with maintaining the cleanliness of your area
  • Ability to fulfill guest orders in a timely manner with skillful attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment all while maintaining professionalism
  • Deliver on guests’ expectations and have the desire to create WOW moments
  • Perform additional duties as assigned that may be outside of the normal scope of duties based on business needs
