Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • less than one year related work experience
  • no supervisory experience
  • ability to stand, sit, walk for extended periods
  • ability to move, lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 25 pounds
  • ability to work on uneven and slippery surfaces
  • ability to bend, twist, stoop, and reach overhead and below knees
  • compliance with food safety and personal hygiene standards

Job Qualifications

  • basic knowledge of baking tools and equipment
  • good communication skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes and quality standards
  • prepare ingredients for cooking including portioning and chopping
  • use baking and measuring tools and equipment appropriately
  • follow food safety handling policies and personal hygiene procedures
  • check appliance and food temperatures and report issues
  • wash and disinfect kitchen area and set up and break down work station
  • monitor quality and portions of food during shift
