Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Prepare all food items hot and cold based on standardized recipes
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and storage areas
  • complete food and station preparation prior to restaurant opening
  • prepare and display buffet food items according to hotel standards
  • proficiently execute cooking techniques including charbroiling, poaching, deep-frying, sautéing, braising, roasting and par-cooking
  • prepare hot and cold sauces
  • recognize quality standards in fresh vegetables, fish, dairy and meat products
  • maintain clean and sanitary environment following proper handling, storage and sanitation
  • prepare food for banquets according to event orders
  • operate and maintain kitchen equipment
  • practice safe work habits
  • follow health department and company safety regulations
  • assist in training other cooks and pantry staff
  • assist in storage and rotation of food items
  • support any kitchen position as needed
  • maintain "Clean As You Go" policy
  • break down buffets and kitchen line at end of service
