Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- minimum 4 years of experience in a high-volume quality establishment or equivalent technical training
- culinary school experience preferred
- must have knowledge of kitchen sanitation and operation
- must be familiar with general maintenance of kitchen equipment
- must be able to cook using industry and property standard techniques, procedures and equipment
- must have solid skill base in all areas of pantry and cook operations
- must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team member
- must present a well-groomed appearance
- must be able to have a sense of urgency and react to changing business demands
- must be able to work any shift and cooking station
- must meet attendance guidelines and company policies
- must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
- must be able to push and pull up to 125 pounds in a cart
- must possess coordination and dexterity for kitchen utensils
- must be able to bend, stoop, reach, crouch, kneel, push, and pull
- must be able to operate stoves, grills, fryers, and basic kitchen equipment
- must be fast and accurate
- must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
- must tolerate chemicals for cleaning and sanitizing kitchen areas
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Prepare menu items quickly and hygienically following established recipes and standards
- rotate between all cooking stations, each with specific food items and cooking devices
- ensure uniformity and consistency in every order
- control food production including proper cooking methods, time, temperature, sanitation, handling, and storage
- maintain knowledge and proficiency in hot prep, cold prep, salads, desserts, dressings, garnishing, sauces, soups, knife handling, and use of basic kitchen equipment
- maintain current par levels of kitchen products
- keep all stations and equipment clean and sanitized
- work any shift and cooking station within the outlet
- meet attendance and company policy guidelines
- prepare efficiently for rush periods
- perform basic lead cook duties as needed
- recommend food substitutions and menu adjustments
- assist in all kitchen areas and other assigned duties
- operate cash register and manage transactions in cashier-required outlets
- greet customers with a positive attitude
- maintain cleanliness of work area and dining floor
- balance cash register and record tips correctly
- meet or exceed customer service expectations
