Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • high school diploma or GED or one to three months to one year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • prior Asian Wok or Asian culinary experience required
  • ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and recognize similarities and differences between words and numbers
  • ability to print and speak simple sentences
  • physical ability to stand regularly and walk frequently
  • ability to reach with hands and arms
  • occasional taste or smell required
  • frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds
  • exposure to moving mechanical parts regularly
  • occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold and heat
  • noise level usually moderate
  • must successfully complete ServSafe Alcohol training certification course

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • prior Asian culinary experience
  • ability to read basic words and numbers
  • ability to print and speak simple sentences
  • knowledge of Asian cooking techniques and food safety
  • ServSafe Alcohol training certification completion

Job Duties

  • Utilize all Noodle Bar Station equipment and other kitchen equipment to an advanced level
  • maintain thorough knowledge of Asian cooking styles including pho cook, wok station, stir-fry techniques
  • ensure Asian product taste and presentation meet customer and food & beverage standards
  • assist with sushi station as needed
  • prepare a la carte and buffet food items, assist cooks and Sous Chefs as directed
  • adhere to cleanliness and sanitation standards set by ServSafe
  • follow proper time and temperature controls
  • label and date food products before storage
  • apply FIFO procedures when stocking coolers, freezers, and dry storage
  • cool hot food products to proper temperatures timely
  • reheat cold foods appropriately before service
  • monitor hot food holding temperature logs and document corrective actions
  • understand and follow production logs and quantities precisely
  • initiate positive guest experiences at buffet line stations with greetings and food descriptions
  • safely operate basic kitchen cooking equipment
  • thoroughly clean pho station and equipment before end of shift
