Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to pass background check
Ability to pass drug screening
Must be at least eighteen years of age
Must obtain and maintain valid licenses and certifications per federal, state, and gaming regulations

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Culinary apprenticeship or associate's degree from a culinary institution preferred
Some industry experience preferred
Basic food preparation knowledge and line work experience
Knowledge of kitchen equipment
Familiarity with international cuisines
Ability to work varying shifts and time schedules
Effective communication skills with employees and guests
Ability to use equipment such as choppers, slicers, mixers, and grinders

Job Duties

Create an atmosphere that induces guests to choose Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain for gaming entertainment
Prepare foods that are grilled, fried, broiled, baked, boiled, braised, poached, or prepared in the pantry
Ensure all plates or pans served are aesthetically appealing and cooked to specifications
Recognize and properly apply a variety of sauces on entrees
Keep workstation clean and organized
Assist co-workers to ensure efficient kitchen operation
Perform duties at special events or parties as needed
