Job Duties
- Prepare banquet dish presentations and trays
- prepare cold dishes
- operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers to cook dishes
- prepare ingredients for cooking, such as portioning, chopping, and storing
- cook and prepare foods
- weigh, measure, and mix ingredients
- wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables
- monitor food quality during preparation and throughout the day
- taste dishes to ensure proper cooking
- ensure food quality and report substandard products to management
- clean and sanitize kitchen areas, tables, utensils, knives, and equipment
- organize and divide workstations
- check and maintain proper appliance and food temperatures
- comply with all safety and company policies
- report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management
- maintain a professional appearance and confidentiality
- greet guests according to company standards
- anticipate and meet guest needs
- communicate clearly and professionally with others
- answer phones using proper protocols
- cultivate positive workplace relationships
- support team goals
- uphold quality standards
- stretch and bend as required
