Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience
- Minimum of two years experience in high-volume line or production cooking in a full-service dining or food service establishment
- Possession of a California Food Handlers Card
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, push, pull, stop, twist, stretch, squat, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds without assistance
- Ability to work on feet for prolonged periods
- Must pass a post-offer functional physical agility test
- Knowledge of food sanitation policies and procedures
- Experience working in a fast-paced commercial kitchen using commercial kitchen utility equipment
- Must be flexible to work a variable schedule including overtime, holiday, weekend and evening hours
- Regular attendance
- Must wear the provided uniform and maintain professional appearance
- Must successfully complete a consumer background check
- Employment is contingent on providing documents verifying U.S. citizenship or legal permission to work in the U.S.
- Must maintain compliance with health and safety policies

- Experience working in a fast-paced commercial kitchen using commercial kitchen utility equipment
- Advanced knowledge of basic food products and cuisine specific products
- Proficiency in standard and specialty food equipment including woks, rotisseries, smokers, and teppanyaki grills
- Advanced knife skills and ability to perform basic cooking methods
- Ability to prepare food from scratch
- Ability to perform simple arithmetic functions related to food and beverage preparation
- Flexibility to work in different kitchen areas
- Initiative and willingness to assist others
- Respectful and courteous with professional communication skills
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions in English
Job Duties
- Review daily menu assignments with the Chef and prepare ingredients per direction
- Ensure preparation is completed and communicate with Chef on recipes and portions
- Batch cook during the course of the meal based on demand and ensure food is presented and garnished appropriately
- Ensure ingredients are covered, labeled, and properly stored and verify that all entrees are prepared to proper temperatures
- Assist with catering preparation as needed
- Cross train on cold and hot food stations
- Maintain a clean and sanitary workspace during and after meal preparation
- Setup and maintain station during meal service and breakdown and clean station at conclusion
- Responsible for weekly deep cleaning of work stations including hoods, stoves and ovens
- Follow food preparation and sanitation directives as established by Health Department and comply with internal policies related to safety and sanitation
- Other duties as assigned including daily, weekly, or monthly cleaning and cross training
