Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three years of experience in large-scale institutional food preparation and volume cooking
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check
  • Ability to follow ServSafe food handling guidelines
  • Ability to lift and carry food and kitchen supplies
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Two to three years of experience in large-scale institutional food preparation and volume cooking
  • Preferred experience in a large-scale food production setting
  • ServSafe certification from the State of Minnesota preferred
  • Additional food preparation or cooking experience is an asset
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check

Job Duties

  • Perform short order, open line cooking as well as large scale institutional food preparation and volume cooking
  • Train staff and prepare food for resident dining to expected standards for all stations
  • Follow recipes and document all usage on serving line worksheets or production worksheets
  • Present food in an attractive manner and follow ServSafe food handling guidelines
  • Prep food throughout shift and assist in completing prep sheets
  • Complete assigned tasks following safety and sanitation policies
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and equipment
