Job Requirements
- Three years of experience in large-scale institutional food preparation and volume cooking
- Successful completion of a criminal background check is a condition of employment for this position
- Ability to work the shift from 12:30 pm to 9:00 pm
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
- Ability to remain at work or report to work during campus closures as an Emergency Essential employee
- High school diploma or equivalent
Job Qualifications
- Two to three years of experience in large-scale institutional food preparation and volume cooking
- Preferred qualifications include working in a large-scale food production setting
- ServSafe certification from the State of Minnesota, and/or additional food preparation or cooking experience preferred
- Successful completion of a criminal background check is a condition of employment for this position
Job Duties
- Perform short order, open line cooking as well as large scale institutional food preparation and volume cooking
- Train staff and prepare food for resident dining to expected standards for all stations
- Follow recipes and document all usage on serving line worksheets or production worksheets
- Present food in an attractive manner and follow ServSafe food handling guidelines
- Prep food throughout shift and assist in completing prep sheets
