Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of professional cooking experience preferred
  • Culinary degree or equivalent hotel cooking experience preferred
  • Ability to work single kitchen stations independently
  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull moderate weights
  • Must have the physical stamina for prolonged standing and walking
  • Availability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
  • California Food Handlers Certification
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary degree or related hotel cooking experience preferred
  • Two years of previous line cooking experience preferred
  • Ability to perform all basic cooking skills
  • Experience with grilling and sauté stations
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and walk long distances
  • Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
  • California Food Handlers Certification required

Job Duties

  • Prepare food orders accurately and efficiently
  • Operate single cooking stations including grilling and sautéing
  • Multi-task by managing food preparation for banquets and outlets
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
  • Collaborate with kitchen team to maintain workflow and quality
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations
