Job Requirements
- 3-4 years experience as a Line Cook at a quality style Hotel or Restaurant
- Food handling certificate

Job Duties
- Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures, standards
- Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment
- Anticipate guests' needs and respond promptly
- Maintain positive guest relations
- Be familiar with all hotel services and local attractions
- Resolve guest complaints ensuring satisfaction
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of work areas
- Meet with Chef de Partie or Chef on Duty to review assignments and changes
- Perform opening shift duties including equipment start-up and workstation setup
- Inspect cleanliness and condition of tools, equipment and supplies
- Check production schedules and establish priority items
- Transport supplies and start prep work
- Organize prep items for service readiness
- Communicate shortages and excesses to kitchen management
- Maintain proper storage procedures per health department standards
- Minimize waste and maintain food cost controls
- Sanitize prep areas and assist Stewards in cleanup
- Complete closing duties including returning and storing food items
- Assist with inventories and plating banquet meals
- Follow maintenance and cleaning schedules
- Perform duties in other kitchen areas
- Work at off-premise functions
- Research new menu items
- Attend designated meetings
- Maintain company image and vision
